The Hippie Moose

Simple, Spiritual, and Sustainable Living.

Every year I try to make some ATTAINABLE resolutions for the new year.  You know, clean my bathroom, give the dog a bath at least once... don't break any bones (seemed so easy but 2012 was a bust on that one!  Here's hoping 2013 is more successful).  I'm posting a few of my more challenging resolutions, not because I think you care, but because if it's in print I can't pretend I never made it.

1.  Deal with my yarn stash and DON'T buy any more until I've completed at least 10 projects. I realize 10 seems like alot but I'm planning on counting pretty much anything as a project.  Dish cloths, hats, pinkie rings... you get the idea.

Well I haven't written anything here for such a long time!!  Due to recent events you might be seeing more of me, I will try to make it as entertaining as possible.  The reason for my new found blog time?
Exhibit A:
Plaster of Pain
I know, soooo pretty.  That huge bulge in the plaster on the left would be my ankle.  In keeping with not wearing white after Labour Day (whatever!) ...
Exhibit B:

Cast yarn bombing
Maybe now nobody will notice.
Either way you are probably looking at 6 weeks of my ranting.  My apologies in advance!

Some of you might remember this picture from 2010.  It was my gift to my husband last Christmas.

I’m pleased to announce that with only a week to spare his gift was finally finished for this past Christmas!

I’m not going to lie to you.  Crocheting something this size and then felting it is a daunting project.  Before it was felted it pretty much covered our bed.  The best/worst compliment I got was from my youngest son who took one look at it and said: “I want one too!” Oye.  Maybe for his 18th birthday.
